I’m new at this diabetes thing. I was recently diagnosed last month and has since lost 30lbs. YES 30lbs as of today due to diet and exercise. I an now officially NOT over weight. However, I understand I still have to watch my carbs. and eat a diabetic diet. My A1C last month was 6.6. I’ll be taking a vacation in a week and would like to know the amount of carbs I can have without getting myself sick. I plan on working out at the hotel’s gym nightly as well. No I am not checking my sugar daily but plan to by a $25 machine before I go and learn to work it. No I don’t plan on overeating, but I do want to relax and enjoy 4 days of foods and desserts that I normally avoid and WILL continue to avoid after my vacation. I Just want to take about 4 days off of this strict diabetes lifestyle and just enjoy myself. What are your thoughts?

Its more of a southern cornbread type dressing but im not sure how to make it where she can enjoy it to. ??? any ideas would be great!

If you have any more Diabetic Thanksgiving recipes that would be great 2. I need details for it like cook time and temp ect.

I’m after opinions on what I can cook for my poodle who had diabetes. He HATES Science Diet W/D and from the research I’ve done on the net so do I. My vet seems oblivious to this and keeps pushing Science Diet on me, I’m tired of it, and I’m so confused as to what to feed my dog. Help??
BTW my dog is underweight, not overweight.
He’s still starving while we get insulin right
