My father-in-law is diabetic (slightly) so he tries not to eat anything that diabetics cant eat. For 4th of July I was going to make an angel food cake with low fat/sugar free whipped cream on the top with fruit layers on top of that.

My dilemma – i looked up the recipe for angel food cake and there is sugar in it – i was going to just buy an angel food cake at the store, but now that i see it has sugar would it be ok for my father-in-law to eat?

Any suggestions for a dessert for diabetics would be appreciated (easy recipes and easy to travel with).

I need to have some snack ideas. My daughter is having a party so she is having lots of friends over. A few of her friends are diabetic so I need some sugar-free snack foods and locations in which to buy them or sugar-free recipes. If you could help me with some snack foods and maybe a few recipes. ( not to many cause i don’t like cooking for parties).

am a type 1 diabetic and have been for over 10 years. I have been trying to control my evening time sugar levels and just wondered if anyone had any tips on what is a good evening meal, or any recipes that they would share as i am lacking enthusiasm at the minute and am stuck for ideas. on a diet and a diabetic, looking for some new recipes to try out, low sugar, low carb, etc. but that taste good and not gross. with not to many vegtables in them. and not any weird stuff. anything, appitizers, main dish, side dish, desserts?

I made a bet with someone that I can make sugar-free cookies that actually taste good.

And they also need to be wheat-free because one of the people that will be eating them can’t have wheat.

high cholesterol and people who are trying to lose weight?

You see, my dad has diabetes and both my dad and my mom have high cholesterol and I’m trying to eat healthier for their benefit and mine.

I’m just wondering what kind of food to cook for the three of us?

Dad: High cholesterol, diabetes
Mom: High cholesterol
Me: Trying to watch what I eat and lose some weight.

So what kind of recipes should I look for?
